A 3D thriller from James Cameron (Avatar) that takes us cave-diving.
Psychological thriller in which a college student (Leighton Meester) becomes obsessed with her new roommate.
Hilary Swank is excellent as real-life high school dropout and single mom Betty Ann Waters whose older brother, always a troublemaker, is convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison. Even though the fragmented family is just trailer trash in the eyes of the community, she gets her high school diploma, gets a college degree, goes to law school, all just to set him free after proving his innocence. But is he really innocent? An excellent movie, and very close to the true story. Sam Rockwell plays the brother. Rated 14A.
2. LET ME IN:
A most interesting remake of a European film in which a young boy, a loner and a social outcast, makes friends with a 12 year-old girl who moves in next door. Soon, the grisly murders begin, and he realizes that his new friend may be a bloodthirsty vampire. A well-told horror tale with a good cast including Kodi Smit-McPhee as the boy, and Kloe Moretz as the girl who is not what she appears to be.. Rated 14A.
3. BEVERLY HILLS CHIHUAHUA 2:
Talking dogs again, with the voice of George Lopez again, in a direct-to-DVD movie that is strictly for kids. It’s mercifully short at 82 minutes, and painful for adults to endure, although young children will love it … the dogs have to save the owners when trouble ensues! Rated G.

As with any good based-on-fact movie, watch for the real people portrayed as the credits roll. Good film – and it keeps you guessing!
Despite some serious plot holes, this is a pretty good thriller. Will you see the ending coming? Probably!
Jason Statham is excellent as a hitman out for revenge. Great action/adventure film.
Anthony Hopkins is excellent as a veteran exorcist teaching a skeptical young priest about how things work in this based-on-fact story.
