Seth Rogan plays the title character in this updated version of an old crime-fighter
Vince Vaughn and Kevin James in a comedy about brotherly love … and hate!
1. THE SOCIAL NETWORK:
An Oscar-worthy film, this tale of the beginnings of Facebook and the people who made it is both a courtroom drama and a human drama as well as an acute study in basic behaviour. Jessie Eisenberg plays Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to perfection, giving us insight into what it took to become the youngest billionaire in history. Justin Timberlake is excellent too, as Napster creator Sean Parker. Rated PG-13.
Richard Dreyfuss is the first-credited actor in this incredibly cheesy remake of the 1978 film in which hungry fish take on all comers. Don’t get too attached to Dreyfuss though … he’s gone in the first three minutes, never to be seen again. The movie is a dreadful hodge-podge focusing on spring break shenanigans at Lake Victoria, which has, unbeknownst to the frolicking young people become infested with giant pirhanas, and they are out for blood. Jerry O’Connell is abysmal as a pornographer, as is most of the cast in a bad movie. Rated 18A.
3. ALPHA AND OMEGA:
Strictly for kids, this animated feature tells the story of a couple of wolves who, in Jasper National Park, struggle with an arranged marriage and with being sent across the country as part of al relocation program. Nothing unusual here, kids will find it just fine, and it features the voice of Dennis Hopper in his final movie role. Rated G.

4. THE SOCIAL NETWORK:
An easy pick – the story behind the story is fascinating. Justin Timberlake lost nearly 20 pounds to play Sean Parker, feeling that it would make him look younger. It doesn’t!
EASY RIDER (1969):
The late Dennis Hopper co-wrote (along with Peter Fonda) and starred in what is surely the classic road picture as two guys hit the roads of American on their choppers. Watch for a supporting role by music producer Phil Spector.
